A First in Taiwan! Long-Lasting Insulating Sealing Technology Ends the Pain Points of "Gas Leakage and Fogging" in Taiwanese Architecture

Elevating Taiwan's Building Energy Efficiency and Lifespan to International Levels

Leading Developers Such as Baijing and Panhsin Pioneer Adoption to Embrace the ESG Green Building Trend

Taiwan's architectural technology is ushering in a cross-generational upgrade. Chinta Glass, with nearly 40 years of deep cultivation in the market, announced the official layout of Taiwan's first fully intelligent and connected glass processing plant, marking the official entry of Taiwan's glass processing into a new era of smart manufacturing. The entire plant, from raw glass storage to insulating sealing, comprehensively adopts automated manufacturing processes and has established a fully visualized production feedback system to ensure high yield rates and delivery stability.

The core upgrade of this smart factory also introduces the latest generation of LiSEC TPA insulating glass production lines from Austria and the Ködispace® 4SG™ long-lasting sealing system from Germany's Kömmerling. This combination is the long-lasting sealing standard adopted by top-tier curtain wall architecture in Europe and America, and has been widely applied in international landmarks such as the Amazon Headquarters, the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) Square, the MSG Sphere, and One River North in Denver, USA.

Long-Lasting Technological Breakthrough: The 4SG System Extends Building Envelope Lifespan to 25 Years

Taiwanese architecture has long been limited by common issues with traditional aluminum spacer insulating glass, such as fogging, gas leakage, and edge debonding. These lead to a rapid decline in acoustic insulation and energy-saving efficiency, resulting in massive exterior wall maintenance and replacement costs.

The core breakthrough of 4SG technology lies in replacing traditional rigid aluminum spacers with a chemically reactive flexible spacer material. This structure can effectively reduce the thermal bridge effect and withstand higher displacements from thermal expansion and contraction. The overall weather resistance and airtight performance lifespan can reach over 25 years, which is five times the lifespan of the second-generation aluminum spacer insulating glass commonly used in Taiwan.

Leading Smart Craftsmanship: LiSEC TPA Achieves a Major Breakthrough in Quality Yield Rates

To ensure the stable implementation of international-level technology, Chinta Glass specifically introduced the latest generation LiSEC TPA insulating glass production line. Its fully intelligent and highly automated level of connectivity far exceeds traditional production lines, serving as the crucial core for achieving high production consistency and quality yield rates.

In terms of inspection and quality control, Chinta has also become one of the first processing plants in Taiwan to introduce the German Viprotron optical quality scanner and the Finnish Sparklike argon gas measuring device. This technology can establish a complete quality history for each piece of insulating glass, including defect scanning, process stability records, and real-time argon gas content detection. The inspection specifications comply with universal international standards, ensuring the finished products achieve international curtain wall-grade quality.

Market Applications and ESG Competitive Advantages

Following its launch, the 4SG long-lasting sealing insulating glass has been rapidly adopted by tier-one developers, including Baijing Construction and Panhsin Construction, which have confirmed its introduction in key projects. Meanwhile, several top-tier luxury residential brands have also committed to incorporating this long-lasting technology into their latest development plans. Market demand indicates that building envelope performance is comprehensively shifting from "basic thermal insulation" to international-grade specifications of "long-lasting airtightness × high weather resistance × low energy consumption."

In addition, Chinta Glass is simultaneously promoting ESG and green building standards, obtaining the AFNOR ISO 14064-1 Greenhouse Gas Verification in Q4 2025. It can provide documents such as project carbon emission analysis, local manufacturing certification, and low-carbon logistics reports, directly supporting developers with LEED, EEWH, and public project ESG scoring to enhance bidding competitiveness.

Chinta Glass stated that with the full mass production of the smart factory, the Taiwanese market will officially enter the third-generation insulating glass era, and the overall quality of building envelopes will reach a level synchronized with Europe and the United States.

To allow architects and engineering partners to gain a deeper understanding of this technology, Chinta Glass announced that it will publicly display physical samples of its 4SG long-lasting insulating glass for the first time at the official booth of Germany's Kömmerling during the "Taipei Building Show" in December 2025.
