Invest Taiwan Adds 4 Companies: Chinta Glass Pledges NT$800M for Smart Factory

(CNA Reporter Liu Chien-ling, Taipei, 4th) InvesTaiwan today added four more companies expanding their investments, including Shiuhyuan Packaging, Sun Tye Technology, Yi Dai Enterprise, and Chinta Glass. Among them, Chinta Glass plans to invest NT$800 million to build a smart factory in Dounan Township, Yunlin County. To date, the three major "Invest Taiwan" programs have attracted over NT$2.3 trillion in total investments.

InvesTaiwan stated in a press release today that Shiuhyuan Packaging is a manufacturer of heat shrink sleeves and laminated bags. It is one of the few companies capable of integrating film production, labeling machine manufacturing, and label printing. Its products are widely used in the outer packaging of food, beverages, and medical products. Clients include well-known domestic and international enterprises such as Uni-President, Vitalon, Kuang Chuan, I-Mei, Nestlé, and Swire Coca-Cola.

In addition to its operational headquarters in Taiwan, Shiuhyuan Packaging has established production centers in the United States, Indonesia, Brazil, and other locations, along with a multi-country sales network. To increase production capacity, the company plans to invest NT$360 million to expand its production lines at the Chiayi plant. It will procure smart IoT equipment and automation-related software to improve scheduling efficiency and reduce costs, helping to enhance its core technical capabilities.

 

Sun Tye Technology is dedicated to the R&D, design, manufacturing, and sales of electronic protective materials. Its niche products include PP Boxes (used for transporting LCD glass substrates), EPE foam (cushioning materials), and SPACERs (anti-static separators). To respond to its global layout and changing customer needs, the company plans to invest over NT$800 million to construct a new plant in the Chiayi Machouhou Industrial Park, aiming to build a green factory by establishing intelligent production lines.

Yi Dai Enterprise provides OEM manufacturing services for merchandise shelves, display racks, and exhibition stands. With excellent site survey and product design capabilities, along with complete processing equipment, it can perform rapid prototyping and customized flexible production. To further expand its market, Yi Dai Enterprise plans to invest NT$200 million to build a new plant in Lukang Township, Changhua County.

Chinta Glass is a professional supplier of architectural curtain wall glass, equipped with advanced production lines for tempering, laminating, and insulating glass. With nearly 40 years of experience in processing various architectural curtain wall glasses, the company plans to invest NT$800 million to build a smart factory in Dounan Township, Yunlin County, moving towards intelligent production. It hopes to become a model for the upgrading and transformation of the traditional glass industry.

According to statistics, the three major "Invest Taiwan" programs have attracted 1,546 companies with a total investment exceeding NT$2.3564 trillion. This is estimated to create 154,172 job opportunities, with 22 more companies currently queued for review.
