Heat Soak Test

Product Introduction: This is not a new type of glass, but a safety-enhancing process for tempered glass designed to solve the problem of "spontaneous breakage."

Technical Principle: We utilize the TAMGLASS heat soak furnace from Finland. Tempered glass may contain tiny "nickel sulfide (NiS)" impurities, which expand in volume (about 2-4%) when heated. This is the main cause of sudden spontaneous breakage in finished tempered glass. Through the heat soak test, defective glass is forced to "break first" inside the furnace, ensuring only the safe products are selected for delivery.

Core Features:

  • Significantly Reduces Spontaneous Breakage Rate: Eliminates the risk of sudden breakage years after installation.
  • Computer Controlled: Utilizes a globally renowned Finnish automatic control system for consistent and stable quality.
  • Balances Strength and Safety: Retains the advantage of tempered glass being 3-5 times stronger than annealed glass, while compensating for its instability.

Recommended Applications:

  • Basically, any tempered glass (especially building curtain walls, glass above walkways, bathroom glass, etc.) is recommended to undergo the heat soak test.
